01 / The brief

Credibility without a wall of jargon.

The brief: a small accounting and business advisory practice with a confusing service list. Prospects cannot tell whether the firm handles their day-to-day books, their planning needs, or only year-end work.

02 / The response

A firm footing. A defined course.

A severe typographic identity, carbon-and-olive palette, service selector, and explicit working process establish a disciplined presence. Consultation requests collect only basic business context—not financial documents or identifying tax information.

01 / Feature

Services by need

A selector changes the service explanation and preparation notes for bookkeeping, reporting, and business planning.

02 / Feature

A clear process

Discovery, scope, onboarding, and review are visible before anyone makes an inquiry.

03 / Feature

Safer inquiry design

The consultation demo asks only for a business name and service interest; no tax documents or sensitive financial data.

03 / Infrastructure

A smaller, deliberate stack.

Static service pages can sit on independent hosting. A production inquiry endpoint and an established secure client portal should remain separate. Public marketing content should never become an improvised document vault.

What is built in this demonstration

A responsive advisory homepage, interactive service selector, process section, and local consultation-preview form. The demonstration has no client accounts or document storage.

The demonstration is static HTML, CSS, and browser JavaScript hosted alongside this portfolio. It needs no database or page-builder runtime to display its pages. The code uses the same shared documentation approach as the other examples.

What production would still require

Verify the real firm’s professional credentials, scope, privacy requirements, and service wording. Configure a protected inquiry channel, retention rules, and a suitable authenticated portal if clients exchange documents.

A client deployment would include owned accounts, access controls, backups, an editing workflow, tested integrations, and a documented handover. A static demo is not a substitute for that operational work.

04 / Cost logic

Remove only what is unnecessary.

The potential simplification is the public-facing website and duplicated marketing tools—not the secure accounting software the practice relies on. A cheaper web page does not justify weakening client-data protections.

A proposal would compare hosting, domain, third-party services, maintenance, and the one-time work before estimating savings.

05 / The thread between the work

Different expression.
The same care.

The same editorial discipline becomes a more institutional interface: numbered sections, direct language, useful selection controls, and explicit limits on what the site collects.

Clear hierarchy. Useful information. Visible boundaries. Technology selected for the job—not imposed on the business.
